You know I love Thailand but....What's up with the black mold everywhere? I have come to realize that You can take the third world citizen out of the third world but you can't take the third world out of the citizen. To Thai people...in general....the appearance of things (Other than their personal attire (personal hygiene etc) or their cars/Trucks and religious Temples......) Appearances are just not important.
I have walked the streets in Bangkok and Chiang Mai and have been so frustrated with how rundown things looked I just wanted to go into a store and buy a gallon of bleach, a wire brush, some paint and start cleaning a wall or entry way to a building and show people what could be don't in a couple of hours............ with a few dollars and some elbow grease...all the black mold could be gone and things would look beautiful (Until the next rainy season)....

Never Drink and Blog
As is frequently the case lately I find myself around 11PM at night with a rye smile on my face and some naughtiness in my pants looking for some mischief

I'm not sure why this photo found its way into my blog except for the fact that I was almost one year old when it was taken and it quite possibly sets the tone. I was born at Saint Albans Naval Hospital in Long Island 300 and some odd (and I do mean odd) days prior to this public display of promiscuous debauchery and uncouth behavior. Whats wrong with kids today?

Smells like Fish in Here
This is the first posting in what I suspect will be the highly dubious and somewhat rancid musings of a 50 year old who has sailed through life operating by the seat of his pants and is driven by his zipper.
